“Why a sheep?”
Basically, I made a crude Structure vs. Agency joke (I used to come down pretty heavily on the side of Structure, hence the sheep). Please don’t read to much into it. I just liked the sassy looking sheep.

“Why do you have descriptions of the images underneath each picture?”
This an issue of accessibility. There are many people who may be reading this blog that, for various reasons, are not able to see or process the images that are posted. People who are blind of have visual impairments may be using screen readers, and these (as far as I know) cannot process the text on images. Others may not be able to look at the images due to neurological issues (such as epilepsy).
(It was also pointed out to me that this is also helpful for people using certain internet connections, or reading the blog on mobile devices.)

“I submitted to the site but you haven’t posted it, Why not?”
There have been quite a few submissions that I have not posted. If yours did get through but I didn’t post it, then the reason for that will be one of the following:

a) The submission was not at all relevant to Sociology or being a Sociology student;
b) The submission was in some way offensive, cruel, or an exercise in missing the point;
c) The same joke has already been made various times on the site.

If you feel like your submissions were none of these things, feel free to submit again and see what happens.
